Artwork Prep Guide

Vector artwork is preferred because it scales cleanly and produces sharper files for prints and embroidery.

Preferred File Types

  • Best: .AI, .EPS, .SVG, Vector .PDF

  • Accepted: .PNG, .JPG, Standard PDF

Adobe Illustrator Checklist

Convert fonts to outlines (Type -> Create Outlines
Expand Strokes (Object -> Expand)
Embed linked images
Organize each print color on separate layers

Embroidery Guidelines

  • Avoid text smaller than 0.25 inches tall

  • Avoid extremely thin lines

  • Simplify intricate details

  • All embroidery requires digitizing before production

Common Artwork Mistakes

  • Fonts not converted to outlines

  • Low-resolution artwork copied from the internet

  • Missing linked images

  • Tiny details that cannot be printed or stitched

  • RGB colors that don't match production expecations
